Hello and welcome to Sign Naturally! My name is Robin and I would love to welcome you onto one of our fantastic courses!

My background

I have over 20 years experience as a BSL assessor with both Signature and the British Deaf Association (BDA). As well as this I am a Communication Tactics Assessor and D34 Award Internal Verifier, working at various locations throughout the UK. I have also championed communication tactics for the NHS Primary Care Trust and UK Council on Deafness (UKCoD), based at Northumbria University. This work features as a Deaf Studies module, which is part of the Disability Studies degree qualification, and is a combination of Deaf Awareness and the history of the Deaf Community and Culture.

My work today

I work as a freelance teacher with my company Sign Naturally, specialising in courses in British Sign Language (BSL), Deaf Awareness, Communication Support Work, Communication Tactics and Deaf Studies. Over the years I have taught many people based in the Tyne & Wear area, including council workers, NHS staff and University students.

I am committed to the development and success of all of my students. I aim to make my courses enjoyable and rewarding, whether you are learning to enhance your career or simply as a hobby.
